How long does a custom spring sample take?

Sample timing depends on the design and what must be prepared before production. For projects using available common materials, the fastest sample schedule may be within seven days. A typical project is usually around 10 to 15 days, while a special specification may require up to 20 days.

These are planning ranges, not a guaranteed dispatch date. The schedule starts after the current drawing or sample requirements, material, tooling, test plan and commercial terms have been confirmed. New tooling, material procurement, design changes or additional validation can affect the timing.

How to avoid preventable delays

  • Identify the drawing number and revision and use consistent units.
  • Confirm the material grade and any approved substitutions.
  • Define the required torque or force, working range and acceptance method.
  • State the sample quantity and delivery destination.
  • Confirm changes in writing before the sample is released.

After the sample is evaluated, record the test conditions and results against the agreed criteria. If a revision is needed, identify what changed so the next sample round can be scheduled accurately. The production lead time is quoted separately after approval and capacity review.
